Hello and welcome to my portfolio!
After working a variety of jobs throughout my adult life, including food delivery, construction, and retail, I decided I wanted to try something new. During that journey, I started following YouTube tutorials on programming and IT fundamentals and quickly became hooked. Since then, I’ve taken the leap into pursuing a degree in Computer and Web Programming at Lake Superior College, and I couldn’t be happier with that decision.
One of the things I’ve enjoyed most so far has been collaborating with classmates and troubleshooting projects together. I’m excited to bring that same enthusiasm into future workplaces and projects with coworkers and clients. My favorite areas of study have been Java programming and server-side scripting. Learning how databases and back-end systems work together has been especially interesting to me.
I enjoy building practical, user-friendly solutions and learning new technologies along the way. Whether it’s programming, problem-solving, or improving user experiences, I’m always looking for opportunities to grow my skills and contribute to meaningful projects.
Feel free to explore the projects on this site to get a better idea of my work. Thanks for stopping by!
More about me...
Other than clothing and developing software/websites, these are my two biggest hobbies. I find that a lot of software devs are big gamers, and while I do love video games, I find that having different hobbies helps me bring a unique Perspective to the table. I currently train MMA at Drengr Jiu Jitsu in downtown Duluth. I would argue that this is the BEST gym in the area if you are ever interested. I have a lot of fun getting my sweat on while making friends at the gym and busting each other's chops.
My third passion is the guitar! I tend to stick to my roots here. Growing up in the late 90's/early 2000's gave me a passion for that era of rock and grunge music. As I got into My 20's though, I started loving a lot of folk and older 70s rock. Some of my favorite artists are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Dominic Fike, Pinegrove, and many more. They have all shaped the way I have learned to play the guitar by learning their songs.
